Creating Accessible Racing (CAR)

• Description: The Challenger Division of the Soap Box Derby is open to children 8-18 who have a disability. The mission is to increase the confidence and self-esteem of children with disabilities and encouraging their participation in social activities with their peers. Many of the children struggle with daily activities, but this one day they can soar. This team will be responsible for designing and building specially equipped cars which can accommodate a co-driver.

• Mission: Design and build a two person vehicles such as those used at the Challenger Division of the Soap Box Derby to accommodate a driver and a child with special needs.
