More specifically, his research is focused on enhancing the appropriately scaffolded teaching of design and innovation across P-12 and post-secondary education by studying design-based instructional interventions and design cognition. Prior to his work in higher education, Strimel was a high school engineering technology teacher and served in the military as member of the army infantry.
