Course Equivalency Database Disclaimer
Welcome to the Engineering Study Abroad Course Equivalency Database!
This page was created to facilitate finding ENGR courses you might want to take during your Study Abroad experience.
You can search the database in one of four ways:
- By Country – Select a country from the list to view all the courses that have been approved at various universities within that country.
- By Program/University – Choose a program or university name from the list to see all the approved courses available at that specific location.
- By Purdue School – Select a school or major from the list to view all the courses approved by that discipline.
- By Key Term (Search All) – Enter a key term, such as "thermo," to find all approved courses that include that term.
Disclaimers:
- The database is meant as a tool to help students choose programs and courses, but it should not be used without consultation with departmental and study abroad advisors.
- The courses listed aren’t the only courses available at those locations. You are encouraged to select courses that have been approved first, before going through the course approval process.
- Classes listed in this database are not guaranteed to be available every term. Students should cross-reference the available courses in their chosen program and term to ensure class availability.
- Previous approval of a course does not guarantee automatic approval in the future. Please work with your academic advisor to plan the courses for your semester abroad.
- Please note that universities abroad use different credit systems for courses. A course taught abroad might not be equivalent to 3 US credit courses. While browsing through the database, you may notice that two courses taught abroad are combined to form a 3-credit course, presented in the format of Course Title + Course Title. Please review the course information carefully, paying attention to any special notes (click on the “+” sign by the country name to see the complete information).
