Purdue Research Park to house $50 million Indiana Manufacturing Institute, support advanced composite materials
Purdue Research Foundation Board of Directors on Wednesday (Feb. 18) approved construction of the $50 million, 62,000-square-foot Indiana Manufacturing Institute, where Purdue University researchers will expand research of composite materials manufacturing.

A Purdue MSE Alum will be receiving a prestigious Acta Materialia award a special symposium as part of the TMS 2015 Annual Meeting & Exhibition
Tresa M. Pollock, the 2015 Acta Materialia Inc. Hollomon Materials & Society Award recipient, is the Alcoa Professor of Materials at the University of California Santa Barbara. She will deliver the presentation, "Design of New Co-base Alloy Single Crystals: The Impact of an MGI Approach." on Wednesday afternoon, March 18, at TMS2015 in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida. Dr. Pollock will formally accept her award at the 2015 TMS-AIME Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, March 17.
