As John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering Leah Jamieson put it: "Eight of our disciplines ranked in the top 10, up from five last year. Once again, Purdue’s engineering disciplines all ranked in the top 25. ABE has now been ranked #1 for the fifth consecutive year. Congratulations to Bernie Engel and the ABE faculty, staff, and students." Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture Jay Akridge added "Five years at the top speaks volumes about the kind of students ABE attracts, the care and attention your outstanding faculty and staff give the graduate program, and the leadership of Head Bernie Engel. My deepest appreciation for the excellence you demonstrate in all you do. "
One of the goals of our accrediting organization, ABET, is the continuous improvement of our program. As is often stated, it is much easier to get to #1 than it is to stay there. For both of our programs to be ranked #1 last year was an enormous accomplishment. To have both programs repeat this year is unprecedented. Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni!
