Call for Papers

We invite submissions for a session dedicated to exploring the dynamic intersection of digital twin technology and manufacturing processes. The session will cover, but is not limited to, the following key topics:

1. Digital twins for manufacturing sustainability

  • Optimization of resource utilization
  • Reduction of environmental impact through digital twin solutions
  • Promotion of eco-friendly practices and efficient resource management

2. Digital twins for ensuring workplace safety

  • Real-time monitoring and predictive analytics
  • Identification and mitigation of potential hazards in manufacturing environments

3. Digital twins for enhancing manufacturing and supply chain resilience

  • Incorporation of redundancy and flexibility to withstand the supply chain disruption disruptions and market changes
  • Proactive response strategies to supply chain disruptions and adaptability to disruptions changing market conditions

Additionally, high-quality presentations and posters from this session will be recommended for further development into full papers and considered for publication in the journals Digital Twin and Digital Engineering. All the recommended papers accepted by both journals will be eligible for open access publication with 100% Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers.
