The award is given to all FAFS alumni who are nationally and/or internationally recognized for contribution to their profession or life’s work. It is given to all FAFS alumni who have distinguished themselves in academia, agribusiness, the public sector or international organizations. The FAFS Distinguished Alumni Award committee formed of the FAFS chapter president, the former two presidents, the FAFS dean and the former two deans choose the appropriate candidates based on several criteria and numerical values for each criterion.
