Why I chose Purdue Civil and Construction Engineering

I always knew I wanted to come to Purdue University. My family and I would come to campus often for games and I always loved my time here. I also really like building things — especially with LEGOs. And when I learned about the construction program, I quickly realized this was the perfect place for me.

Emphasis area

I am in the construction engineering program. I love the collaboration and teamwork that comes with it, and I want to be part of largescale projects. It just felt like a community I really wanted to be a part of.

School ambassador

I am involved in a number of student organizations — and I love them all — but I would say the Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering ambassador program is my favorite. I just really love meeting with prospective students and sharing with them why I feel Purdue is so special.

After I graduate

After I earn my bachelor’s degree in May, I will be joining Bowen Engineering in Indianapolis. I am very excited to start my career there and am very interested in being part of their concrete work in the future.
