students lined up to meet with organizations at job fair

Startup Forum

The primary goal for this forum is to engage with startups (i.e., companies employing 200 or fewer, and headquartered in the US) to present opportunities for full-time, co-op, and intern positions to the undergraduate and the graduate students.  We begin with short presentation pitches by the startups, which help to familiarize the students and the faculty with the companies, where we draw out the distinctive opportunities that working at a startup affords, relative to large corporations. This is followed by a day of a steady stream of students interacting with the startups. We end the event with a debrief session run by the Corporate Partnerships Office with all the startup personnel. This provides an opportunity for the ECE personnel to hear what went well and should be amplified in the next edition of the event. ECE continues to strive to partner with startups and the build on the broad-based initiative of promoting an entrepreneurial spirit among our students.
