Aldo Scutari Delivers Keynote and Lectures at Several Events
Aldo Scutari, Pedro and Barbara Granadillo Professor in The Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, delivered Keynote to ICOMP and IEEE and Distinguished Lecture Series earlier this year.
Scutari, who is also an IEEE Fellow and was named a 2023 University Faculty Scholar, continues to share his work and findings at a variety of important conferences. In October Scutari delivered a keynote address to attendees of the International Conference on Computational Optimization (ICOMP) which was held in Innopolis, Russia. The keynote, which was delivered virtually, was titled "Bringing Statistical Thinking in Decentralized Opitmization. Vignettes from High Dimensional Statistics Over networks."
Earlier in the year Scutari delivered a keynote address at the 2024 IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC). Scutari's address titled "Statistical Inference Over Networks: Decentralized Optimization meets High-Dimensional Statistics" addresses the addresses the challenges of ensuring analytic quality in decentralized networks, particularly under constrained computational resources.
