Jose Alejandro Rojas Pardini
José Alejandro Rojas Pardini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University, where he was a member of the Alpha Pi Mu honorary society. From 2003 to 2007, he worked at General Electric (GE) in the U.S., holding various roles in Operations and Supply Chain as part of the Operations Management Leadership Program at GE Consumer Products and GE Healthcare. He was recognized with the Management Award and led the GE Healthcare Capstone Project.
In 2005, he was selected for GE’s Corporate Audit Staff, where he led projects across multiple divisions, including GE Capital, GE Consumer Finance, GE Aircraft Engines, and GE Energy, working in the U.S., Mexico, and Central America.
In 2007, he returned to Panama and transitioned into real estate development. He was a founding partner and Director of Real Estate Development at URBE Group (2008–2019) and served as Vice President of Real Estate Developments at Corcione Group (2009–2014). He also co-founded and presided over Porta Norte, a major land development project, until 2019.
In July 2019, Mr. Rojas was appointed Minister of Private Investment at the Presidency of Panama, overseeing economic, financial, investment, and logistics policies to enhance the country’s business climate and competitiveness, particularly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. He led the Logistics Cabinet, promoting Panama as a global logistics hub, was a key member of the Energy Cabinet, and led the national delegation to the World Economic Forum five times. Additionally, he served on the boards of major organizations, including the Panama Maritime Authority, Colon Free Zone, Panama Ports, National Anti-Money Laundering Commission, Cable & Wireless, Pro Panama, National Competitiveness Center, and Georgia Tech Panama.
