On March 4, 2013, Purdue Materials Engineering Graduate Student, Dinakar Sagapuram, will be presented with the 2012 TMS Light Metals Magnesium Best Paper – Student Award for his paper “Non-Basal Textures in Magnesium Alloy Strips by Extrusion-Machining”. This award, given by the TMS Light Metals Division and Magnesium Organizers, recognizes the individual excellence of a student primary- authored paper in the area of magnesium technology, published in the preceding year’s volume of Magnesium Technology.  The presentation will take place at the TMS Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
