On March 20, 2013, the Materials Engineering (MSE) Graduate Student Safety Committee received the inaugural Presidential Safety Award. The committee was recognized by President Mitch Daniels, at the Purdue Annual Safety Chair meeting for encouraging a strong culture of laboratory safety among graduate students. Congratulations to the committee and MSE Laboratory Safety Coordinator, Patti Metcalf, for their hard work and dedication to safety.
