Travis Crawford, Two-Time Directed Energy (DEPS) Graduate Scholarship Recipient
Travis obtained his bachelors degree in physics from Muhlenberg College in 2018 and master’s degree in nuclear engineering from Purdue University in 2020. Now pursuing a PhD in nuclear engineering at Purdue, Travis currently works with the BioElectrics and ElectroPhysics(BEEP) Laboratory investigating intense electromagnetic radiation. His research interests include nonlinear transmission lines, high-power microwaves, pulsed power, directed energy, and RF bioeffects.
Travis commented, “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity DEPS has provided me. DE technologies are vital to protecting the modern warfighter and I am thrilled to be able to continue my research in this motivating field. Research is often not possible without funding and it is always humbling when someone invests their resources in you. I am looking forward to continuing my work and trying to make an impact.”
