The American Nuclear Society, (ANS) nominated Audeen Fentiman, Associate Dean of Engineering for Graduate Education and Interdisciplinary Programs and Professor of Nuclear Engineering as a candidate for vice president/president elect, an office held for a one-year term. Associate Dean Fentiman is a current ANS board member and has been an ANS member since 1983.

Michael L. Corradini a Wisconsin Distinguished Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics and the chair of the Department of Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison has also been nominated.

The candidate elected will take office in June 2011.
