Visiting the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics

To explore the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, schedule a visit day. A visit day is coordinated through the Undergraduate Office and offered in the afternoon. Each visit provides an opportunity to interact with an academic advisor or an AAE student ambassador.

We schedule afternoon visits because advisors use the morning hours to respond to emails and meet with current students, and it is beneficial to attend the 11:30 a.m. Engineering Information Session prior to meeting with AAE.

Schedule a prospective family visit

Allow 4-5 business days advance notification to accommodate the visit request and include any special requests. Please email visitaae@purdue.edu if you are unable to attend your scheduled visit. Purdue University is on Eastern Standard Time (EST) and observes Daylight Savings Time.

Note: AAE family visits do not include a tour of Armstrong Hall. Families are welcome to explore the building on their own, or schedule a campus tour

AAE Prospective Family Visits during January - April 14, 2026 are very limited due to 2026 Fall academic advising appointments.

Individual family visits will not be scheduled on information session or drop-in dates. If you plan to visit on one of these dates, please join the scheduled session listed.

Note: There is no direct entry into the AAE program. Engineering students all start in the First-Year Engineering program. After the first year, students are eligible for admission to the professional schools by the Transition To Major (T2M) process.
