RA Position with Professor Yung-Hsiang Lu
Dr. Yung-Hsiang Lu’s research team has two positions for graduate students on the topics of artificial intelligence for music.
The first topic uses audio analysis to help music students detect performance mistakes and video to recognize incorrect postures that could be harmful. The topic will create mobile apps and conduct user studies.
This second topic investigates methods to train robots for playing musical instruments (including, but not limited to, string and percussion). The project will focus mostly on creating control software to make the robots obtain the ability to play unseen music.
Required knowledge and skills: software development, machine learning, basic music knowledge.
