Scholarship opportunity in Modeling & Simulation, Training, and Education; Due June 21
Priority: | No |
---|
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be enrolled or accepted for a full-time masters or doctoral program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering (related to Modeling, Simulation, and/or Training or Systems Engineering), Operations Research/Systems Analysis/Mathematics, Distance Learning Methodologies, Human Factors (Psychology or Engineering), Instructional Design and Training Methodology, Computer Science and/or Information Sciences
- Must have a stated interest and career goal in the Modeling & Simulation, Training, and/or Education Industry
- Must be able to attend I/ITSEC on December 1-4, 2025
- Must not already be fully funded with alternative fellowships, scholarships, or grants (not including assistantships)
- I have included contacts for some fields that are not explicitly listed in the eligibility criteria. Recent winners have included students in Aviation Sciences, International Relations, Power Electronics, and Cybersecurity (in addition to many of the fields explicitly listed), so there appears to be some flexibility as long as the career interest aligns with Modeling, Simulation, and/or Training.
- I believe that online masters and doctoral students ARE eligible for this opportunity.

I/ITSEC is pleased to announce the National Training & Simulation Association (NTSA) 2025 Postgraduate Scholarships. These awards are offered at a Master’s level in the amount of $5,000 and a Doctoral level in the amount of $10,000.
Postgraduate Scholarships: The Annual I/ITSEC RADM Fred Lewis Postgraduate Scholarships, Leonard P. Gollobin Scholarships, and CMSP Postgraduate Scholarship are offered to stimulate student interest and university participation in preparing individuals for leadership in the Modeling & Simulation, Training, and Education communities.

Next Big Thing (NBT) focuses on emerging trends, issues, and technologies that are poised to disrupt the modeling, simulation and training community in different time horizons. We look for nascent and novel technologies and applications at low TRLs and discuss how to accelerate the adoption or implementation at scale by our I/ITSEC community, helping organizations (government, industry, academia) realize high value from rapidly evolving technology and keep ahead of future opportunities.
We invite the community to submit proposals for NBT presentations at this year’s I/ITSEC conference. We are interested in topics relevant to the MS&T community in the following areas:
- New or emerging technologies, concepts, or issues impacting the MS&T community.
- Potential applications of existing technologies and their impact.
- Catalysts to adoption, success factors, or accelerants to adoption.
Read more about the submission process and guidelines, and then plan to submit your proposal by 27 June.
