Vijay Raghunathan, Purdue University's Vice President of Global Partnerships and Programs and Professor in the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has been selected for the 2024 class of Fellows with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The NAI Fellows Program celebrates academic inventors whose work spans multiple disciplines and exemplifies their collaboration, dedication and innovation to transform research into real-world commercial technologies that contribute to the betterment of society.

The purpose of this award is to recognize, encourage, and promote a desire to contribute and acquire new capabilities as a staff member of the College of Engineering specifically and the University in general.

The event is a campus-wide, corporate-sponsored design competition, hosted by Purdue University’s Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in partnership with the ECE Student Society (ECESS).

“As the nanosphere is the building element of our toolbox, the nano-dumbbell is the simplest product of nanospheres that are asymmetric. Being asymmetrical is crucial for spinning and torque detection,” explains Peng Ju, PhD student and lead author of this publication.
