Spurred by President Obama's "100,000 Strong" initiative, an ENE professor researches how best to engage American students in research activities of their own, in China.
A doctoral student in ENE, Chua also teaches and coaches faculty members across the country in ways to provide their students with real-world, hands-on learning experiences.

Purdue's Engineering Projects in Community Service program for high school students was honored for engaging students in STEM learning. ENE faculty member Dr. Bill Oakes heads the EPICS program at Purdue.
