Dr. Young-Jun Son Delivers Opening Keynote at International Conference of Process Mining
Dr. Young-Jun Son, James J. Solberg Head and Ransburg Professor of Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, gave the opening keynote speech on “Multi-paradigm, Online, Hierarchical Simulations to Support Process Mining” at the 2024 International Conference of Process Mining (ICPM) held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Oct. 14-18, 2024.

Pitts receives CALC 2024 Exceptional Engagement Award
Dr. Brandon Pitts, Elliott Sigal Rising Star Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering, has received the 2024 Exceptional Engagement Award presented by the Purdue Center on Aging and the Life Course (CALC). Pitts was presented this award, and delivered an acceptance speech, during the Annual CALC Symposium at Purdue on October 18, 2024.

IE Professors Denny Yu and Wenzhuo Wu Awarded a Grant to Improve Worker Safety with Printable Bioinspired Nanosensors
The team has been awarded a grant from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to develop cutting-edge bioinspired wearable sensors aimed at protecting workers from injuries that occur in manual material handling (MMH) jobs.
